Welcome to Retriever Web Solutions, the Digital Marketing & SEO specialists based in Lancing, Sussex. So, what exactly is meant by Digital Marketing, and why is it suddenly so important?
What is Digital Marketing?
In a nutshell, digital marketing encompasses all online advertising and marketing. This of course includes web design, build, and optimisation, but also incorporates social media, Google photos, and paid search amongst many other things.
Why is Digital Marketing so Important?
Rarely these days will you stumble across a company without a website. If by chance you do, most would appreciate what a wasted opportunity this is, such is the influence of the internet over us in this increasingly digital age. Your website is after all, your shop front, and very often your potential customer’s first introduction to your company.
Nowadays, things have moved on one step further. It’s not enough to simply have a website, even a fantastically fabulous website with all the bells and whistles. It needs to be fully optimised and regularly updated. Imagine your website as a shop, with the most wonderful products….. but the door is locked. If customers can’t get into the shop, there is simply no point. The same is true with your site. Unless it can be found within search engines it will not draw in your target audience.
Once you have the site of your dreams, and it has been fully optimised, we then need to spread the word about your site, and the way to do this is via social media, blogs and articles galore! Perhaps after this you may wish to consider a paid search campaign. The possibilities are endless.
In terms of time, there is no quick fix solution when it comes to digital marketing – it’s a marathon rather than a sprint, but, if done properly, your return on investment can be considerable.
Who Needs Digital Marketing?
Whether you are a business to business or business to consumer company, you will have your own specific target audience to whom you need to appeal. Our role is to work closely with you to identify your key audience. Once this has been established, we will design a bespoke campaign specifically tailored for your business needs.
